Akshay Hirdaramani brings extensive expertise and a wealth of experience to the leadership team of the Hirdaramani Group. As a member of the Board since 2011, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. His commitment to excellence is further evidenced through his active participation in the Group ExCo, where he is involved in critical functions such as Group Finance, Business Development, and Customer Relationship Management.
With the Hirdaramani Group's stature as a significant player in the apparel industry, boasting a revenue of over $1B USD and operations in multiple countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Ethiopia, Akshay Hirdaramani plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success and growth of these operations.
He is a graduate of Winchester College in the UK, and holds a BSc in Management from the prestigious London School of Economics. He has also served as a Board Director of the Group, and a consultant at Deloitte MCS in London. His extensive knowledge spans various aspects of the apparel and non-apparel sectors, making him a valuable asset in guiding the management and strategic direction of H-Connect.
A highly experienced finance professional, with over two decades of expertise in finance, shared services/BPO, commercial management, and project management, Dilush has made significant contributions to organisations around the world. He joined the Hirdaramani Group in 2007, and currently holds the position of Non-Executive Director at Ambeon Capital PLC and at Marendaz Accountants and Business Consultants in Australia.
Prior to his current role, he held senior finance positions for more than 15 years in manufacturing firms, multinational companies, FMCG companies, and centres for business excellence. In 2012, he established H-Connect, as a subsidiary of the Hirdaramani Group and a top-tier shared-service and BPO organisation in the region.
Dilush is an ACMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant), CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant), ACPA (Associate Certified Public Accountant), ACSI (Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) and holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
His extensive knowledge and exposure in shared service operations were instrumental in setting up a world-class shared service organisation.
Dilan Alwis is the driving force behind H-Connect's operational excellence and financial prowess. With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, he has established himself as a highly accomplished finance professional, hailing from the vibrant shores of Sri Lanka.
Dilan’s journey at H-Connect commenced with his role as the Financial Controller at Hirdaramani Group, where he showcased his financial acumen and dedication for an impressive 12 years. His experience and insights from this pivotal role laid the foundation for his subsequent accomplishments within the H-Connect family.
He possesses experience in critical financial and commercial functions, across a global landscape and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the financial functions. He also holds memberships with ACMA CIMA and CPA Australia, underscoring his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry knowledge. His pursuit of excellence extends to academia, with an MBA from the prestigious University of Lincoln, UK.
With a career spanning over 18 years, Chaminda brings an impressive wealth of experience and financial expertise to H-Connect, making significant contributions to our organisation's financial excellence, propelling us to new heights.
Chaminda embraced the role of Financial Controller in 2013, where his journey with the Hirdaramani Group began. As Chief Financial Officer for the Hirdaramani Corporate Office, he not only manages the financial intricacies of the corporate office but also holds a critical oversight role for H-Connect, a vital component of our diverse group.
He is a Fellow Member of CA (Chartered Accountant) and has completed ACCA, along with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with a specialisation from Sri Jayawardenapura University.
Throughout her impressive career, Niwanthika has navigated diverse industries, leaving her indelible mark in each. She has applied her expertise and acumen in financial management, resource allocation, marketing, strategic planning, and in-depth analysis across distinct sectors. Her journey includes experience in banking and finance, telecommunications, freight forwarding, and most recently, the dynamic and fast-paced world of the apparel industry.
Niwanthika holds qualifications from CIMA-UK (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom) and CIM-UK (Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom). Her academic achievements further include earning an MBA with merit from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), showcasing her commitment to academic and practical excellence. She is also a proud member of prestigious professional bodies, including CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant), ACMA-UK (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom), and PIMA (Postgraduate Institute of Management Alumni - University of Sri Jayewardenepura).
Sanjeewa Kodikara is a seasoned IT professional with 25 years of experience. He is an alumnus of D.S. Senanayake College and a member of both the British and Australian computer societies. Sanjeewa holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a Master of Business Administration from Buckinghamshire New University.
Sanjeewa joined as the Chief Information Officer to Hirdaramani Group in 2021. In this role, he has played a pivotal part in upgrading the company’s ERP system to its cloud platform, significantly advancing Hirdaramani digital roadmap.
Before his current position, Sanjeewa was the Head of ICT at Durdans Hospital, EAM Maliban Textiles, and Orit Apparels Lanka. He has also held the role of IT Manager at EAM Maliban Textiles and Quantum Clothing Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
Throughout his career, Sanjeewa has led significant IT transformations, driven digital innovation, and enhanced operational efficiencies across various industries.
Saman is a seasoned C-level executive with over two decades of experience and a strong educational background. He began his career in FMCG manufacturing, evolving into an expert in driving digital transformation across diverse sectors, including Manufacturing, Media, FMCG, Export, and Services. Saman previously held positions at leading conglomerates like John Keells Holdings and Capital Maharaja Organisation. He currently serves as the Head of Business Solutions at H-Connect, overseeing all business application solutions for Hirdaramani Apparel.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in physical sciences from the University of Peradeniya and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire, UK. With his wealth of experience and proven expertise, Saman is an invaluable resource for the organisation, underscoring his vital role in H-Connect's journey toward sustained growth and excellence.
Joined Ceylon Knit Trend in December 1998 as a Management Trainee. He was promoted to Human Resources Officer in 2000, and subsequently to Human Resources Manager of the Maharagama unit in 2003. In 2011, he was appointed as Divisional Head of HR, Administration & Compliance, where he oversaw multiple operational units within the organisation.
In 2015, he was entrusted with leading the newly established Group HRIS, Compensation & Benefits department. In this role, he played a key part in setting up the department, centralising plant-level profiles, attendance, and payroll modules, while also fostering a cultural shift in HR practices across plant and management levels.
His strategic leadership led to the standardisation of designations and organisational structures within the group. He was instrumental in formulating and aligning group-level HR policies with the HRIS modules, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient HR framework. In recognition of his continued contributions and leadership, he was promoted in 2023 to the position of General Manager – Human Resources.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Rakhil Hirdaramani, a Director of the Hirdaramani Group, joined the business in 2005 and was subsequently appointed to the Board in 2007 to oversee Strategic Accounts and Compliance. He has been instrumental in the Group’s diversification into the IT Services sector as well as re-engineering the internal IT process.
Rakhil received his education at Winchester College UK, and holds a Bachelor’s in International Business from the European Business School. He is also an alumnus of the London Business School - Executive Education.
Samath Fernando is the Director of IT at Hirdaramani and the Co-founder and Former CEO of H ONE (Pvt) Ltd, a leading Microsoft Gold Partner specialising in digital transformation. With over 30 years of experience in IT, Samath began his career as a techie and has since grown into a prominent digital strategist. He has played a key role in driving the Hirdaramani Group’s transition from legacy systems to cloud platforms, with a focus on enterprise advisory, cloud innovation, and product development across the APAC region.
Samath is the visionary behind H ONE and Res.Q, a digital factory platform that has transformed efficiency and data visibility in garment manufacturing. Under his leadership, H ONE evolved from a startup into one of Sri Lanka’s top Microsoft Licensing Solution Providers and was eventually acquired by Dialog Axiata.
He holds a BSc and an MBA in Business Administration and Management and has previously held leadership roles at Maharaja and AIA, adding depth to his business and technology expertise.
recognised as a thought leader in digital innovation, Samath is frequently invited to speak on topics such as AI, IoT, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing. He has been featured in Echelon Magazine’s New Establishment 100 and has contributed to SLASSCOM, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and Microsoft Sri Lanka. He was also part of the USAID-backed Sri Lanka@100 initiative, supporting the growth of mid-sized enterprises through digital strategy. His ongoing focus on sustainable digital transformation, generative AI, and workforce upskilling continues to shape the future of Sri Lanka’s digital economy.
Renowned for her exceptional ability to drive positive organisational change, cultivate employee-friendly cultures, and elevate employee satisfaction and retention, Ayesha’s career journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
Her educational background boasts an MBA from the esteemed University of Staffordshire. In 2009, she successfully completed the WNS Certified Trainer Programme and undertook the IPM Certificate Course in Human Resource Management in 2008-2009. In 2022, she achieved certification as a Professional Transformative Coach from Coach Masters Academy
Currently, Ayesha is an integral part of H-Connect (Pvt.) Ltd. Since 2013, she has worn various hats in the HR department and serves as the HR Business Partner for most of the Non-Apparel companies within the Hirdaramani Group. She also plays a strategic role as an HR Partner for the Senior Team at H-Connect.
